About

JSCOACHING was formed by Jordan Smithson as a platform to share his journey through coaching rugby and developing coaches. The platform he built across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn connected with hundreds of coaches and sports clubs across the globe.

Operating out of Peterborough Rugby Club, Jordan oversaw the ongoing development of the clubs first academy provisions which would enable players from U15s a smooth and streamlined transition to adult rugby.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Jordan coordinated and ran a number of virtual coaching conferences bring like-minded individuals together to share and learn from eachothers knowledge.

JSCOACHING whilst still visible on social media platform provided a spring-board for Jordan to launched his new brand @MrJSmithson_Edu, now The Innovative EdTech based around his work and career in educational IT support.

What We Do

Right before the Covid-19 in 2020 pandemic Jordan lost a family member which was out of the blue and came as a shock. Towards the end of 2020 Jordan decided to run a virtual quiz night to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. The concept was to host an online quiz that can be shared with family, friends and the wider public across the country to bring people together for an evening of laughs, fun and fundraising.

Our mission was to support with the logistics of this providing support with online hosting platforms, funding raising supports, digital assets and to oversee the running of the virtual quiz. We were able to utilise the Lightstream platform providing online live stream support connecting Jordan and quizmaster Simon with the world.

Through enhanced support from our team we were able to create pre-recorded video inserts and showcase clips to bring further insights and production quality to the stream. One of the biggest challenges we came up with was ensuring that viewers could engage and particpate with the quiz. For this we utilised the JSCOACHING social media challenges and the hashtag #JSBIGQUIZ. This would provide direct communication to Jordan and Simon allowing for quick interactions with viewers. We also ensured that when hosting via YouTube we had direct access using the Lightstream platform to view the YouTube live comments for further engagement.

Within the Lightstream platform we also ensured that Jordan and Simon took advantage of the private chat area meaning that notes and quick questions could be communicated between them both and that they were able to say in touch should either run into any issues.

It was our absolute pleasure to support Jordan and his vision to create a virtual quiz night and we look forward to the next one.
